How can we develop our Higher Consciousness, our Alter Ego?
It really is easy, although difficult in the world we live in. What a paradox! Truth?
To develop our Alter Ego, understanding "Alter Ego" as our "Higher Self", the best in ourselves, just being ourselves (beings created in the image and likeness of God), would be more than enough.
What is often called "spiritual development" is really what "natural" in the human being should be. We do not need to develop towards anything, or in any way but to be "ourselves". We are already more than sufficiently developed. Understand that we are the only beings in the universe created in the image and likeness of God, and the only ones who possess the gift of free will (viz.).
So I say "easy" because just by being "ourselves" we would live with a higher consciousness. I say "difficult" because the vast majority of people believe they are their physical body, their money, their possessions, and so on. and they live as such.

| Alter Ego, Higher Self: Being, Existing, Loving |
To go back to living with a higher consciousness, the human being must be re-educated in what "really is", and made aware of the lie in which he lives so that he can get rid of it. Then, just living / being / existing would be enough.
A higher consciousness is obtained when we realize that everyone and everything "is one", and that the happiness or unhappiness of others is your own. That we are individualized, but in no way separate.
We live using our higher consciousness when we plant vegetables not to sell and enrich ourselves but to give as gifts, and not only to our relatives, but to anyone.
We live using our higher consciousness when we treat the neighbor's child the same as our own.

We live using our higher consciousness when we collect, not only our garbage but also that which has been thrown by others, when we go to the field or the beach.
We live using our higher consciousness when we plant a tree for the enjoyment and well-being of future generations, even if we never enjoy it.
We live with a higher consciousness when we do everything for God, for the universe, for everyone, without expecting any personal benefit, whether in the form of flattery or money.
Jesus Christ illustrated it as follows: "Don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing." In other words, when you hang a painting in your house, hang it for God, and not for your mother-in-law to see it and tell you how beautiful it is. In this example, the difference between living "selfishly" (expecting a benefit), and living with an Alter Ego, Higher Self, does not expect anything from anyone or anything but gives everything for the good of all. . Live with love.
Our "Higher Self" is our "natural self", and our "Higher Consciousness" is our "natural consciousness", but we have forgotten about it. So it's okay to be reminded from time to time.
